A Guide for Impactful Mission Trips
Matthew Estes
Millions go on mission trips every year. Most missionaries dread hosting them. Some critics want to end the practice entirely. Matthew Estes has spent twenty years on both sides. He knows what works.
The Problem
Short-term mission trips are fiercely debated inside the church. The loudest critics aren't outsiders. They're missionaries, pastors, and longtime ministry leaders.
After twenty years in the field, Matthew Estes argues the practice isn't broken. How we approach it is. He wrote this book to show the difference.
"The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few."
Matthew 9:37

About the Author
Matthew Estes has spent over twenty years discipling believers, first as a missionary in the Dominican Republic and then training churches and organizations across the United States to run better mission trips.
He's been a trip participant, a team leader, and a hosting missionary. Few people have stood on all three sides. He believes short-term missions are one of the church's most underused discipleship tools.
He lives in Colorado Springs with his wife and three kids and leads Adventure Ministries, Inc. When he's not running training programs, his family is somewhere in the mountains.
